My Favourites from 2009
What are my favourite from the images I took last year? Read on to find out........
One of my friends asked me recently what are the best photos that I took during 2009? That shouldn't be too difficult I thought, until I actually sat down and tried to work it out. I had a look back in the gallery here, on sites I'd posted images and in Lightroom on the computer and realised how big a job it would be. To start with I'd fired the shutter of my various cameras over 7500 times during 2009! I guess I should be thankful that I couldn't get around much in the early part of the year due to still recovering from my knee operation, otherwise that figure would have been a lot higher. Anyway, after much deliberation I finally got the figure down to 10 images that I like most of all from the thousands I'd taken. In the end I didn't necessarily pick the best 10, just the 10 that I feel are my favourites. Maybe there is some emotinal connection to the photos. Maybe enough people have said nice things about some of them for those shots to stand out in my mind. Who knows? The main thing is they are my favourites and they are shown below. You can see larger versions by clicking on each image, which will take you to my Flickr photostream.

Great photos Dave. A vote for the River God from me. Love the shadow and the colour contrast.
