Welcome to the Rainbow Youth Theatre Website
Rainbow Youth Theatre started life in 1982 as Fatfield and District Operatic Society Youth Section. In 1988 the Junior Section became financially independent although still retaining the name Fatfield Junior Operatic Society. Several of the productions during the period 1988 to 1996 were written and composed by adult members of the group, e.g. Time Warp (1991), The Quest (1992) and Through the Flame (1996). Many of our former members have gone on to have professional training and careers in the performing arts and backstage work. Some have returned to the group later to give the benefit of their training to the current members. Others have stayed as volunteer workers and teachers. All our staff work as volunteers, coming from all walks of life, and bring with them their own particular expertise and enthusiasm.
